Orcomol
FAW |
Orcomol
FAW is a water -soluble
polymeric dye-complexing agent.
It is available as a slightly
viscous liquid which is stable
to hard water and to acid
and alkali in concentrations
usually encountered in the
textile trade. Additions of
Orcomol FAW in regular
stripping procedures gives
far better results than other
methods. It is a very weakly
cation-active material which
forms very stable cation-anion
complexes with dyestuffs containing
sulfo groups as well as those
which in aqueous solution
containing a phenolate grouping,
i.e. direct, vat or sulfur
dyes. The bond of attraction
between dyestuffs of these
groups and Orcomol FAW
is so strong that the
latter may be considered in
a sense a liquid fiber for
which the dyestuff has greater
affinity than for cotton and
other fibers. In stripping
operations, once the cellulose/dyestuff
bond is broken, the dislodged
dye is preferentially and
tightly bound to the Orcomol
FAW. Even after a prolonged
stripping treatment, the Orcomol
FAW/dye bond remains intact. |

FUL |
Orcopal
FUL is a wool fulling
agent which is non-substantive
to wool. Because of this,
it is more economical than
the usual anionic agents or
soap. Orcopal FUL is
readily soluble in, and functions
effectively with soda ash
solutions.

TX |
Orcopal
TX is a fulling agent
for wool and oil/lubricant
release agent for natural
and synthetic fibers. In view
of its chemical nature,
it can be used in either soft
or hard water or in an acid
or alkaline media and still
maintain its effectiveness. |
