Orcopal TX™ is a fulling agent for wool and oil/lubricant release agent for natural and synthetic fibers. In view of its chemical nature, it can be used in either soft or hard water or in an acid or alkaline media and still maintain its effectiveness. Orcopal TX™ is a blend of biodegradable linear alcohols containing various moles of ethylene oxide compounds giving optimum emulsification properties while still retaining its hydrophilic nature.  Orcopal TX™ can also be used in conjunction with a solvent where extremely high oil content is found.

Applications

• Fulling, wetting, scouring, and emulsifying agent on synthetics, wool, and other natural fibers.
• Removal of excess oils or lubricants from stock, yarn, or piece goods while improving the static properties of goods.
• High detergency action in acid or alkaline fulling operations and in continuous scouring equipment due to the easy removal of Orcopal TX™ in the rinsing processes.

 

Procedures

Wetting                                  Use 0.10% – 0.25% on weight of goods(owg)

Scouring                                Use 0.50% – 2.00% owg

Emulsification of oil        Use 1.00% – 2.00% owg
