Polyester is a synthetic fiber widely used in industrial applications due to its abrasion & stretch resistance, durability, chemical resistance, and resilience. The most common polyester, polyethylene terephthalate(PET), is used extensively on all types of apparel including sportswear and hi-tech light-weight microfiber garments which provide improved breathability, water resistence, durability, and comfort. Home furnishings such as carpet, drapes, upholstery, and pillow fiber-fill are large consumers of polyester fiber and fabric. Many automotive fabrics and wovens such as headliners, car seat covers, and safety belts can be dyed using Orcocilacron™ high-lightfast disperse dyes. Organic Dyes and Pigments offers Orcocilacron™ medium and high-energy disperse dyes for polyester, providing a wide shade and physical property range. OrcoSperse™ pigment dispersions are also used for printing on polyester fabric. Orcocilacron™ Disperse Dyes for Polyester
Orcocilacron™ dyes are a group of disperse dyes characterized as medium and high-energy disperse types for the dyeing of polyester atmospherically with carrier, under high temperature/pressure dyeing, and continuous/thermosol dyeing. These are offered in both powder and liquid/paste forms. Unlike the lower energy Orcocil™disperse dyes, these tend to have a larger molecular size, lower volatility, and hence, better sublimation properties.
