Acetate
Acetate is primarily used in dresses, blouses, and special occasion apparel in addition to home fashion materials. Acetate offers a luxurious look with a soft hand and exceptional drape characteristics. It is easily dyed with Orcocil™ disperse dyes or printed with OrcoSperse™ pigment dispersions. Acrylic is also used for upholstery, blankets, floor coverings, and outdoor furniture. Orcozine™ basic dyes provide a wide shade range and are easy to use for acrylic fabric or garments in exhaust dyeing. OrcoSperse™ pigment dispersions are specially formulated for padding and printing of acrylic. Cotton
Cotton is the mostly widely used fiber in the world due to its comfort characteristics. It is used in almost all types of apparel and household items such as towels and linens. Its softness, light weight, absorbancy, and good strength are a few of its attractive properties. Cotton is versatile in the way it can be colored in yarn, fabric, or garment form using Orcolitefast™ & Orcomine™ direct dyes, Orco Reactive™ reactive dyes, or OrcoSperse™ pigment dispersions. Rayon, a synthetic “regenerated cellulose” fiber, is known to be an economical alternative to silk due to its good drape qualities. Rayon is mostly used in gowns, blouses, garment lining, and home furnishing and is also dyed using Orcolitefast™ & Orcomine™ direct dyes, and Orco Reactive™ reactive dyes. Nomex®
Nomex® has excellent thermal protection resisting temperatures over 2000ºF and also boasts great resistance to chemicals, solvents, radiation, and very low temperatures. All of these properties also make it very difficult to dye. Nomex® fabric can be printed or pad-coated using OrcoSperse™ pigment dispersions. The most common polyester, polyethylene terephthalate(PET), is used extensively on all types of apparel including sportswear and hi-tech light-weight microfiber garments which provide improved breathability, water resistence, durability, and comfort. Home furnishings such as carpet, drapes, upholstery, and pillow fiber-fill are large consumers of polyester fiber and fabric. Many automotive fabrics and wovens such as headliners, car seat covers, and safety belts can be dyed using Orcocilacron™ high-lightfast disperse dyes. Organic Dyes and Pigments offers Orcocilacron™ medium and high-energy disperse dyes for polyester, providing a wide shade and physical property range. OrcoSperse™ pigment dispersions are also used for printing on polyester fabric.
