Spandex, also known as Lycra or elastane, is an elastic synthetic fiber generally blended with cotton, nylon, and/or polyester as a stretch fabric providing a lightweight, soft, smooth, and very stretchable material.  Spandex is popular in sport apparel where support, comfort and fit are desired and is dyeable using Orcolan Neutral™ dyes, as well as printable using Orcolan Neutral™ dyes or OrcoSperse™ pigment dispersions. Orcolan Neutral™ Acid Dyes for Spandex & Lycra

Orcolan Neutral™ dyes for Spandex and Lycra blends, are 2:1 premetalized acid dyes. Because of their large molecular size, these behave similarly to the Orco Milling™ dyes in application and strike rate. Because of the metal complex, typically Cr+3, these dyes exhibit excellent light and wet fastness and find application in sportswear fabrics.
