Abrasives, Adhesives, Sealants, & Tape are miscellaneous construction materials requiring a broad array of dye and pigment classes to meet chemical compatibility and physical parameter requirements. Our colorants can be found in resin-bonded colored sanding discs, pads, belts, sponges, rolls, & sheets, wood and tile adhesives, highly durable and flexible silicon & butyl-based sealants, and tapes for industrial, insulation, & HVAC duct-work applications. Our standard line of dyes and pigments for abrasives, adhesives, sealants, & tapes are shown below. We have many other water-based dyes that can also be custom-formulated into your unique product application.
Antifreeze & Coolant
Organic Dyes and Pigments offers standard and custom radiator coolant and leak dyes and colorants for antifreeze, engines, machinery, aircraft deicing, and windshield washer fluid. Products are available specifically in both liquid and powder forms, or both, to meet the stringent requirements of your application type. In addition to this standard line of colorants, Organic also provides Custom Shade Matching and product development services.
Fuel, Oil & Lubricants
OrcoSolve™ dyes are used extensively in fuel, oil, lubricant, grease, and wax coloration applications. These highly-concentrated heat-stable colorants, available in liquid and powder form, are soluble in polar solvents and hydrocarbon-based oil and lubricants. Their high concentration allows the formulator to use minimal amounts of dye thereby causing no change to the product’s original physical characteristics. In addition, their stability to high heat makes them a good match for lubricants, engine oil, automatic transmission fluid, and grease. Some lubricants are water-based and would require our water-soluble dyes or possibly pigments.
Ink & Toner
Organic Dyes and Pigments is a supplier of water-soluble OrcoScribe WS™ purified and crude ink dyes, and solvent-soluble OrcoSolve SS™ solvent dyes., These colorants are applicable to ink-jet printers, ink pads, roller-point pens, permanent, erasable, and fluorescent markers, and other specialty applications.
Smoke
OrcoSmoke™ smoke dyes are specialty colorants, available in powder and liquid form, and designed specifically for pyrotechnic colored smoke for use in distress signals, flares, military smoke cover grenades, sea markers & smoke locators, marine locators, aerial displays, and air shows. OrcoSmoke™ dyes are not intended nor appropriate for inhalation or ingestion through smoking or vape devices. These highly concentrated dyes meet the physical requirements for many military standard specifications such as Mil-D-3284E, DOD-D-51485A, DOD-D-51524, and Mil-D-3277E. Custom-formulated OrcoSmoke™ dye can also be made to meet your unique specifications.
