How to Dye Wool Using Orcolan Fast™ Dyes

 

Orcolan Fast dyes represent a group of 1;1 acid metalized dyes(chrome-complex) with good level dyeing properties and good fastness.  These are applied from a strong acid bath.

Prescour

Prescouring of the wool is necessary in order to remove any impurities in the goods otherwise an unlevel dyeing would result.

Run goods in bath containing 2.0% on weight of goods(owg) Orconol CHSA Conc™ at 140°-160°F for 20 minutes.

 

Dyeing – Strong Acid Bath

  • Enter goods in bath at 120°F containing:
  • Run for 10 minutes.
    • Add X% owg            Orcolan Fast™ dyes
  • Bring slowly to the boil and circulate for 1 hour.
  • Cool, rinse, & dry.
