Orco Synthrowite AMA 100™ is an optical brightener for acrylic and modacrylic fibers offering excellent stability to light and chlorite bleach.

Procedures

Chlorite Bleach

1. Set bath at 104°F(40°C) with:

0.25 – 2.0%                  Orco Synthrowite AMA 100™ on weight of fabric(owf)

0.2       g/ L                  Anionic Wetting Agent

2.0       g/ L                  Sodium Chlorite 80%

2 – 4     g/ L                  Sodium Nitrate

2.0       g/ L                  Oxalic, Formic, Acetic Acid to pH of 3-4.

2. Enter goods and raise temperature to the boil over 30 minutes.
3. Run for 20 minutes.
4. Adjust pH to 2 with 0.3 – 1.0 cc/liter of dilute sulfuric acid and boil an additional 10 minutes.

Pad-Continuous Application

2.0 – 20.0 g/L   Orco Synthrowite AMA 100™

1.0 cc/L           Formic Acid 85%

Other procedures

• Pad-roll / batch
• Steaming
• Acid shock bath
  • • 1-1.5 minutes with 3.0 to 5.0 cc/L of 85% formic acid.
