How to Strip Orco Reactive™ Dyes from Cotton

 

Partial Strip

  1. In a warm bath of approximately 100°F(38°C) and 20:1 liquor ratio add:

0.25%  Orcopon KP™ on weight of fabric(owf)

13 oz/gal(10g/L) common salt

0.25-1.25 oz/gal(2-10g/L) of  caustic soda flake depending on degree of stripping desired.  This range is equivalent to an approximate stripping of 10%-50%.

  1. Run at boil for 30 minutes and drop bath.
  2. Hot rinse well.
  3. In new bath add 0.5% owf acetic acid 56% and run at the boil for 5 – 10 minutes.
  4. Drop bath followed by a good hot rinse.

 

Full Strip

  1. In a warm bath of approximately 100°F(38°C) and 20:1 liquor ratio add:

0.80 oz/gal(6g/L) sodium hydrosulfite

0.80 oz/gal(6g/L) caustic soda flake

0.25% owf Orcopon KP™

    1. Run at boil for 30 minutes and drop bath. Hot rinse well.
    2. In a new bath add 0.5% owf acetic acid 56% and run at the boil for 5 – 10 minutes and drop bath followed by a good hot rinse.
